General
Rose Cottage is a traditional cottage and the decor and furnishings reflect this. Modern appliances however make light work of holiday chores leaving you more time to enjoy your time in the Highlands. Both the sitting room and dining room look out over a beautiful view of the bay.
Sitting Room
In the sitting room there is a cosy open fire burning wood or coal.
Dining Room
There is a wood burning stove in the dining room - very inviting on cooler Highland days.

As an alternative to the open fire and stove, there are also electric heaters in both rooms.
Kitchen

Rose Cottage has a well-equipped kitchen with dishwasher, microwave oven, toaster, kettle, cafetiere, food processor, electric beaters and rice cooker. There are plenty of saucepans, kitchen equipment, mixing bowls, roasting trays and cake tins. There is a washing machine, tumble dryer, and deep freeze in the utility room with ironing board and iron. |
Bedrooms
There are three bedrooms (two with twin beds and one with a double bed). There is also a cot and a very basic put-you-up bed on the spacious upstairs landing. However, Rose Cottage is a traditional size and we don't recommend more than 6 people unless the seventh is a baby or small child and you don't mind squeezing up in the sitting or dining rooms. There are duvets and pillows on all beds but LINEN IS NOT PROVIDED. Tenants must bring their own sheets, duvets covers, pillowcases and towels.

Heating and Hot Water
As well as the open fire in the sitting room and wood burning stove in the dining room there are electric heaters in all the bedrooms and the bathroom, and storage heaters in the sitting room, entrance hall, upstairs landing and in the kitchen. There is an electric immersion water heater with boost facilities for constant hot water.
Dogs
Well behaved dogs are welcome.
Smoking
Rose Cottage is non-smoking.
